Go to the sign-up page
Open https://cloud.red5.net/signup/ in your browser.You will see three options:
- Sign Up — choose a paid plan and get started immediately.
- Free Trial — start a 30-day free trial with no credit card required upfront.
- Contact Us — for Enterprise customers with custom requirements.
Enter your account details
Fill in your first name, last name, email address, and a password. Accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, then click Create Account.
Choose a billing plan and account type
Select either a Monthly or Annual plan. If you are purchasing on behalf of a company, toggle the business account option.Personal accounts — enter your credit card holder name, card number, expiration date, and CVC, then click Build Your Service.Business accounts — you will also need your business name, address, city, state, postal code, country, and Tax ID or VAT number (required for EU businesses). Enter your card details and click Build Your Service.
Select your default region
Choose the region closest to the majority of your audience from the dropdown list, then click Next.The available regions include locations across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Pick the one with the lowest expected round-trip time to your viewers.
Red5 Cloud supports 10 regions distributed across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and other major markets. Your default region is where Stream Manager 2.0 is initially configured. You can add more regions to your deployment later.
Wait for your deployment to provision
Red5 Cloud automatically provisions your baseline deployment in the selected region. This typically takes 15 minutes or less, with a maximum of 20 minutes.During this time the platform also:
If the deployment takes longer than 20 minutes or you see an error, click Contact Support on the provisioning screen.
- Provisions PubNub keys for your account (used for signaling in WebRTC sessions).
- Configures Stream Manager 2.0 with your selected region settings.
- Creates a baseline deployment ready for publish and subscribe.
Verify your deployment with a webcam test
Once provisioning completes, the console opens a quick test page. Allow the page to access your webcam when prompted.You should see two video feeds:
- A local preview from your webcam.
- A streamed playback routed through your Red5 Cloud deployment.
What you have after sign-up
Once your account is set up, you have:- A baseline deployment in your chosen region, configured with sensible defaults for publishers and subscribers.
- PubNub signaling keys provisioned automatically — no manual configuration needed for WebRTC.
- Access to the Red5 Cloud management console where you can create additional deployments, manage streams, and monitor performance.
